Material Technology

Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) is a high-density foam made by combining ethylene and vinyl acetate. Its closed-cell structure — millions of sealed, gas-filled cells — gives it flexibility, shape memory, and resistance to water, sun, and temperature swings. Marine-grade EVA is formulated specifically for those conditions.
Closed-cell construction
Non-porous, gas-filled cells mean water stays out — specified at under 0.01% absorption. The surface can be pressure-washed with standard soaps.
Thermal insulation
Low thermal conductivity paired with heat-reflective properties, rated for a thermal range of -40°F to +194°F without cracking or delamination.
Texture & traction
A micro-textured brushed or CNC-engraved finish designed for a high coefficient of friction in wet and dry conditions.
UV stability & colorfastness
High-grade UV light stabilizers and absorbers. Specified to ASTM G154 accelerated weathering (3,000+ hours).
Elasticity & cushioning
Low compression set (≤ 6%) — the material rebounds to its original thickness after furniture or equipment is moved.
Stain resistance & care
Inert polymer chemistry resists penetration from wine, grease, coffee, and oil. Clean with mild soap, a soft brush, or a pressure washer under 2,000 PSI at 12–18 inches.
